Trash Goblin gets Early Access Date

I have been keeping an eye on the development of Spilt Milk Studios’ Trash Goblin for a while now. The cozy shopkeeping and restoration sim captured my attention from the minute it was announced. Now we know when Trash Goblin is coming to Early Access for all of us to see.

Trash Goblin is coming to Early Access on November 6^th, 2024. Also, if you want a taste of the game before November hits, a demo is on its way from October 14th to October 21^st during the upcoming Steam Next Fest. Here is what the press release says about Trash Goblin:

“Trash Goblin is a wholesome & cozy shopkeeping game with a twist! You play as a goblin who uncovers and restores trinkets! Find peculiar knickknacks by chipping away at the dirt and cruft they’re embedded inside. Scrub them up nice and clean with your sponge to get them ready for sale. After all, one goblin’s trash is another goblin’s treasure!

Customize your newly replenished goods by combining trinkets together, upcycling them into strange and wonderful new items to meet the eccentric requests of your endless array of colorful customers. Get to know your audience so you can make custom pieces tailored around their likes and dislikes – which will fetch you even more money!

Grow your business! Invest your savings to upgrade your shop, buy new and better tools that offer additional ways to restore your trinkets – making them even more valuable – and even expand your business to exciting new districts across town!”

The Creative Director of Spilt Milk Studios, Andrew Smith also commented on the impending release, stating: “Taking Trash Goblin on the road at various events[,] then letting folks try out its demo has been extremely gratifying for the whole team, and we can’t wait to see what kinds of quirky concoctions people make when upcycling their trinkets when Trash Goblin comes to Early Access on November 6^th.

Of course, Trash Goblin’s journey will continue throughout its Early Access period, as we’ll be adding loads of characters, quests, trinkets, items[,] and more!”

I’m eager to check out Trash Goblin when it hits Early Access. When Trash Goblin hits Early Access it will have 50+ Trinkets, Accessories, and variations to find, with plenty of ways to upcycle and repair them. We’ll get to know 5+ NPCs and use 3 tools, with more planned along the way. I’m excited to see how things go, and we don’t have much longer to wait.
