Monday, Gas Station Simulator has a new DLC, and Captain Majima is on deck for the new Like a Dragon game next year. Tuesday, Blasphemous II has gotten DLC and a free update. Wednesday, there was a State of Play announced not even 48 hours before Alexx had to cover it, and Fae Farm is heading to PlayStation and Xbox. Thursday, the new Assassin’s Creed Shadows was delayed to 2025. A bit of a short week, so you can also go check out my piece about Xbox Carbon reduction goals being BS.

Moving on to the Epic Games Store, it is a simple week this week (and next). Released in 2022, Alblune and Armor Games Studios’ The Spirit and the Mouse could have been released almost two decades prior, and I mean this as a compliment. Get the bingo card out because I’m about to strike off a whole line here: Lila’s tiny mouse adventure through the French village Sainte-et-Claire feels very much like a PS2 game with a few modern updates.

Mention the PS2, mention the character and setting, say it is slightly updated to the modern day, and have certain people question my sanity; check, check, check, and check. The Spirit and the Mouse is short and sweet, there is nothing to lose with this puzzle adventure title.

All this week you can pick up The Spirit and the Mouse on the Epic Games Store until Thursday, the 3rd of October. Moving onto next week it is charming nature-based hotel management title, Bear and Breakfast. Also released in 2022, this lovely bed-and-breakfast building simulator is Gummy Cat’s only title thus far, and is very well-received on Steam at least. I would mention something else, but Epic still doesn’t really do reviews, still.
