After getting hooked on something I’ve previously called Spreadsheet Simulator before, I think I have some cheek saying I’m a fan of tycoon/management games. When I first saw vampire-based tycoon game, Blood Bar Tycoon, I knew that was going on my Steam wishlist straight away. Which admittedly was only a month ago. Now developer/publisher Clever Trickster Studio and Clever Trickster Productions has announced a nearly spooky release date for Vlad’s House of Hemoglobin and other names you’ll give your bars. Here’s what the press release has to say:

“Blood Bar Tycoon is a vampire bar management game. Build bars and blood factories, lure humans to harvest their blood, process it, and serve your customers: other vampires. Research quirky machines and deal with hunters! Expand through Crimson City to become a mighty Elder!” Cutting to the chase, the release date is set for the blood-thirsty Monday of the 28th of October.

Commenting on the release, studio co-founder Ludovic Mahieu said, “Ben, our creative director, and I came up with the idea for Blood Bar Tycoon during our role-playing game sessions several years ago. For me, creating this game was a unique opportunity to combine my love for management games and the vampire universe, while also allowing us to express our quirky and offbeat humor! Today, we are very excited to bring the game to life starting on October 28[th].“

The Belgian studio’s other co-founder, Virginie Maréchal, went on to add, “We are thrilled to have taken this project as far as we could with a young and passionate team, combining the challenges of a game with complex mechanics with the adventure of launching a new studio. I am very proud of the journey we’ve made and grateful to all our partners and the players who have supported us from the beginning. We can’t wait for the world to discover Blood Bar Tycoon, especially through the open beta.“

There is currently a free demo/open beta playable on Steam right now, six weeks ahead of release this October. Alongside this release date announcement came a new trailer too.

I’m excited to see what the studio has made with a similar idea to the likes of Godlike Burger and its ilk. No, I’m not saying “Oh it is copying,” I really don’t care about that, I’m excited for this take on similar ideas of restaurant/service management with different twists. Blood Bar Tycoon is set to release on Steam on the 28th of October, and you can search for Clever Stickster’s social media and Discord where the studio seems to be most active.
