While I am awful at it, the original Ghostrunner caught my attention due to its cyberpunk aesthetic and visceral action. The sequel took that idea and ran with it, incorporating new ideas and interesting concepts. Now it seems that the developers have released a new mode bringing an all-new concept for players to enjoy.

Across all platforms, you can now purchase and play the Endless Moto Mode for Ghostrunner 2. This is a racing game mode with new challenge races on procedurally generated tracks, unlocking cosmetics along the way. Check out what the press release says about Endless Moto Mode below:

“This adrenaline-fueled new game mode will project players into the heart of the cybervoid, where speed is the only law, to let them experience the cyberpunk universe of Ghostrunner 2 like never before.

In Endless Moto Mode, players will find themselves at the controls of a high-speed motorcycle, speeding through procedurally generated tracks ensuring that each ride will provide a new and unique set of challenges, increasing in difficulty and suspense as the player ventures further into the unknown.

Each race will be a unique experience, with ever-changing obstacles and challenges that will test players’ reflexes and skills beyond their limits.

The objective is simple yet exhilarating: survive as long as possible, accumulating the highest score (based on speed and distance traveled) to enter the leaderboards and compare performances with friends.

I think Endless Moto Mode is a really cool way to flesh out Ghostrunner 2 with more content. These challenge races should encourage players to try different tactics and chase the top of the leaderboards with their more competitive friends too, which will add a bit of longevity to the experience. It may not be a substitute for story-based DLC, but this is something a little different that players should enjoy.
