LumbearJack is free on Epic

Monday, the Xbox 360 store died, long live games most of us PS3 players don’t know or care about. Tuesday, Sunset Motel has a prologue and since I’ve been writing a review of an old show with a similar name, I can’t really make my jokes about Elle Fanning. However, I did write quite a bit about some other sci-fi shows, small things called Doctor Who and Star Trek. You might have heard of them. Meanwhile, Alexx spoke about the upcoming, pixel-based action platformer, Wren’s Resurgence and its demo. Thursday, we got some more details on the upcoming Chiitan-wrangling simulator, Promise Mascot Agency, as it has a recent deep dive.

Moving on to the Epic Games Store and it is thankfully a quiet week before I want to headbutt someone between the eyes. Released in 2022, FinalBoss Games’ LumbearJack is an eco-centric puzzle adventure title I’ve had my eye on for a while. You play as Jack, a lovely little bear who has had enough of these humans running around, building their roads, polluting with their production plants, and generally being wasteful. So like any sane bear, Jack takes an axe and goes out hunting for heads.

Also available is an exclusive set thing when you log in to play RAWMEN. Yeah, that “weird naked men running around throwing soup/ramen at each other” game. One of the few PvP titles I’ve argued I think is interesting. That was released last week to about as much ceremony as a fart in a quiet moment during the opera. It is free-to-play, so you know what that means, there are microtransactions for cosmetics. That’s what the free thing is, a tub of “Couple Noodles.”

All this week you can pick up the colorful and delightfully destructive LumbearJack as well as the “Couple Noodles” free cosmetic for RAWMEN on the Epic Games Store until the 8th of August. Moving on to what we’ve got the “pleasure” of talking about next week: Chances are you already have DNF Duel, CYGNI is releasing next week and will be free on Epic while it is currently $26.99 on Steam to pre-order, and most importantly the “Apex Legends: Conduit Free Unlock Bundle.” The latter part of the release of Apex Legends onto the Epic Games Store.
