Kaizen Game Works blew me away with how much I enjoyed Paradise Killer. Their debut game was unique, interesting, and full of flair. They’ve revealed new information on their upcoming game, Promise Mascot Agency.

Promise Mascot Agency is set to be released in 2025 for all major platforms. Interestingly enough, previous views of the game seemed to defy explanation, though the devs refer to it as an “Open World Mascot Management Crime Drama.” Here is what the press release says about the game and its deep-dive gameplay video:

“As the first (and best) example of its genre, Promise Mascot Agency is an experience unlike any other. As such, a bit of explanation is in order: the backstory of our hero Michi, the process of hiring mascots, the dangers of work[,] and the mystery of a deadly curse are just a few things touched on in the new video.

Additionally, eagle-eyed viewers will be able to spot some newly revealed mascots and characters. Is that a bat with a pickaxe? Also, the deep dive is narrated by a voice that existing fans might find themselves recognizing. Maybe this warrants an investigation?

Everyone at Kaizen Game Works has been blown away by the positive response to the April reveal trailer for Promise Mascot Agency. A common sentiment of ‘I don’t know what I’m looking at, but it looks awesome’ was clear, so hopefully, today’s video clears up some of that confusion. Not too much, though – Promise Mascot Agency will have plenty of strangeness and mystery to uncover upon release.”

As someone who loved Paradise Killer, I’m very excited to see what Promise Mascot Agency turns into. Oli Clarke Smith, the game director commented on the new video as well, stating:

“We’re so happy with the response to our announcement and we’ve been itching to show you more. Promise Mascot Agency is a unique game and there is so much to see and do. This video shows you just the tip of the iceberg. There are many more mascots to meet, people to help[,] and forbidden mysteries to uncover. This game rocks ass.”

It’s only a matter of time before we get more info on Promise Mascot Agency. Hopefully, we’ll get more info soon, or possibly a demo? I can’t wait to see more about Kaizen Game Works’ latest project.
