Pirates of the Caribbean Skins Arrive in Fortnite

Fortnite collaborations are always surprising me, even though at this point it seems more practical to predict who won’t arrive in the battle royale turned metaverse. The latest IP making its way into the game are some iconic characters from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. With three skins available now and some teasers about an Event Pass tie-in, here’s what we know about the latest characters dropping their anchor in the game.

In the store within Fortnite, players will now see three characters: Elizabeth Swan, Captain Barbosa, and Davy Jones. For 3,400 V-Bucks, you can own all three skins as well as their back bling items, a Davy Jones Pipe Organ emote, and accompanying LEGO Fortnite minifigs. You can purchase each character on their own with just their matching back bling for 1,500 V-Bucks. Major Pirates fans may be wondering where the iconic Jack Sparrow is in this lineup, but Epic Games has confirmed the pirate is soon setting sales in another offering.

Confirmed on X, Captain Jack Sparrow will be available in the Cursed Sails Event Pass releasing soon. This likely means we’re getting other great items from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise as tiered rewards for progressing through the Event Pass’ quests. These Events typically last a couple of weeks giving you plenty of time to complete the challenges as well as wrap up quests related to the current season, which ends around mid-August.

There’s really no IP or franchise off-limits for the Fortnite collaboration ecosystem, minus a few key characters or games from Nintendo we know the company doesn’t want in the game. Still, the roster of skins you can utilize in the ever-growing game modes of the mega successful game are growing by the week.
