Ahh, what a non-stressful week and Northern Ireland didn’t burn on the 12th, but an Orange Man was still shot. Monday, Saudi Arabia has a lot of money, doesn’t it? A screenshot for BioShock 4 is out in the wild, and physics Rogue-like Galactic Glitch is now in early access. Factorio-like The Crust is now in early access, and Gestalt: Steam & Cinder is out now. Finally, on Thursday, cozy Souls-like The Sacred Acorn is out now on Steam, and Bobo Bay, a Chao Garden-like, is now in pre-alpha on Steam.

Moving on to the Epic Games Store and the double-bill I’ve had very little time to prep for. We’ll start with that thing that confuses me every year, as Summer doesn’t seem like the greatest time for horror, Maid of Sker. Coming from double-A publisher and developer Wales Interactive which focuses on mostly FMV titles, 2020’s Maid of Sker is a survival horror, using Welsh folklore but is noted for not really making advancements in the genre. The reason we’re getting Maid of Sker is simply the fact the “round-based zombie survival FPS” sequel, Sker Ritual, was released earlier this year.

Nosebleed Interactive and Wired Productions’ 2022 Arcade Paradise is up next in this double bill. One of those simulator / jobs that’s fun to play games like: Gas Station Simulator, Supermarket Simulator (spoiler for what I’m writing), Cooking Simulator, Hotel Renovator, and beyond. Part renovation job, half business sim, and another part playing arcade mini-games during your downtime. On top of that, you have Doug Cockle being angry at you for not running his respectable business as boringly as he does. Here I thought he’d only shout at me for taking a wrong turn in Euro Truck.

All this week, you can pick up Maid of Sker and Arcade Paradise on the Epic Games Store until Thursday, the 25th of July. Moving on to next week and it is possibly another double-bill? I don’t quite know as I refreshed at one point and there was a second game promoting something to do with France, and I refreshed again later, it was gone. No idea what that’s about, but I do know I’ll have to try and find something interesting to say about F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch, again.
