Monday, after wanting to kick a Dutchman in the ribs, I was ready to kick Jeffrey (not the giraffe) to a blood-stained smear with an update to Prime Gaming. Xbox is coming to Fire TV so you can do something else with that stick, and Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is getting remastered. Tuesday, Flintlock: Siege of Dawn has a demo and gameplay trailer. Wednesday, StarKeeper will make you want to listen to some Jizz. Thursday, the NASCAR Cup series Chicago Street Course joins Fortnite. Don’t worry, like most American streets, it is 90-degree corners, because to hell with interesting design, am I right Tilke?

Moving on to what is available on the Epic Games Store, Tomas Sala’s 2021 Falcon ’em up, The Falconeer. As I said last week, I didn’t love The Falconeer much when it was released as it seemed to lack concentrated direction. With all four “chapters” open to play or skip as you please, the lack of direction shines through as each chapter tells the same story from different perspectives. However, most importantly, classes dictated by those chapters can have large discrepancies, making you apathetic toward certain aspects of the story.

All this week, you can pick up The Falconeer on the Epic Games Store until Thursday, the 11th of July. Moving on to next week and it is another one I’ve played and written about before, Floppy Knights. Garden Story developer Rose City Games’ 2022 turn-based title, you summon fighters from floppy disks (ask your parents) in a turn-based arena to win battles. Mostly a card-based battler (floppy disks being the cards), there is a lot to like about Floppy Knights.
