Kingdom Hearts Steam Deck Giveaway Goes Live

There’s a lot to love about the Kingdom Hearts franchise if you’re a JRPG fan, a Disney fanatic, and a Final Fantasy enthusiast. If you’re into borderline nonsensical plots, there’s plenty for you too. The game series which first launched in 2002 as a joint effort between Square Enix and Disney for the PlayStation 2 is now arriving on the Steam Store. To commemorate the franchise’s arrival, you can enter to win a Steam Deck signed by Tetsuya Nomura and other prizes thanks to a giveaway.

Announced on X, “fans are encouraged to enter the #KHonSteam sweepstakes, which is ongoing now through June 24, to celebrate the series’ arrival on Steam. Lucky winners can obtain various exciting prizes, such as a Steam Deck signed by Tetsuya Nomura, a Higround keyboard, game codes, and more,” notes the press release. Going on to say, “All three collections released today—KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, KINGDOM HEARTS 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind DLC—can be played both on PC and on-the-go on Steam Deck devices, and available at a special discounted price for a limited time.”

If you haven’t played a single game in the series, a great place to start is KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX. This is the place to begin when it comes to trying out the mainline games in the franchise. You can probably get other opinions from die-hard fans but, in my estimation, beginning with the most complete version of the very first game in the franchise makes the most sense. It’s likely you’ve at least seen or heard about the series, but it is worth experiencing for yourself if you’re a Disney fan or interested in JRPGs.
