Kena: Bridge of Spirits Coming to Xbox Consoles

In another example of exclusivity being relegated to a window of time, the PlayStation-exclusive adventure game Kena: Bridge of Spirits will arrive on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on August 15th. Dubbed a Pixar-adjacent artistic adventure and award-winner upon its original release, the news of an Xbox version is certainly going to make many happy. With a wonderful display of next-gen visuals and an original, engaging world to explore, gamers will have a shot at grabbing this title in both digital and physical formats later this summer. Here’s what we know about the upcoming release.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits will also be available as a physical Premium Edition on Xbox Series X through a partnership with Maximum Entertainment. The physical game includes a digital soundtrack, a sticker sheet exclusive to retail until now, a unique staff and skin, as well as pirate-themed Rot hats for the game. Interestingly, the digital version of the game and the physical will both run the same price. Both editions, including the physical Premium Edition, will cost $39.99/ €39.99/£34.99. In a time when some games aren’t even getting a disk for their physical release, physical collectors will be pleased with this news.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits first launched on PlayStation platforms on 21st September 2021, going on to win several awards including Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards 2021. The Xbox version of the game will also include the Anniversary DLC update that launched in September 2022 which features Charmstones, Spirit Guide Trials, Kena Outfits, and accessibility features. It also features New Game+ mode for those looking to spend more time in this visually appealing world. Pre-orders will go live for Xbox consoles soon ahead of the summer release.
