Haunted House Renovator to Get Steam Next Fest Demo

It was only a matter of time before the home-improvement sim genre started to get a little spooky. After all, what is the next frontier for a flipper other than tackling the supernatural? Well, it seems that developer Image Power will give folks a taste of this idea very soon.

Haunted House Renovator will be getting a demo for the Steam Next Fest from June 10^th through June 17^th. You’ll be tasked with decorating homes and dealing with what haunts them, all so they can return to the market for sale. Here is what the press release had to say about the game and upcoming demo:

“We are excited to give players a taste of Haunted House Renovator during the Steam Next Fest, running from June 10-17. This demo will allow players to explore the game’s core mechanics, encounter various hauntings, and get a feel for the atmospheric graphics and creative decorating options. It’s an excellent opportunity for gamers to immerse themselves in the world of paranormal renovation and provide further feedback to help shape the final product.

Recent playtests have been a resounding success, with participants praising the game’s immersive atmosphere, engaging mechanics, and the unique blend of renovation and paranormal elements. Testers particularly enjoyed the first-person perspective that plunges them into the heart of supernatural challenges, combined with the satisfaction of transforming haunted houses into beautiful homes.

Constructive feedback from these playtests has been invaluable, helping the developers address potential bugs and refine the gameplay experience. This ensures that the upcoming demo will offer a polished and enjoyable experience for all players.

In addition to the positive feedback from playtests, Haunted House Renovator has enjoyed tremendous support through its Kickstarter campaign. Launched to gather additional resources for enhancing the game, the campaign quickly surpassed its goal, demonstrating the high level of interest and excitement surrounding the game. With over 180% of the initial funding target achieved, this success underscores the game’s appeal and the community’s enthusiasm.

I was intrigued by the concept when I first heard of Haunted House Renovator coming to Kickstarter. Luckily, it seems that the game is on the right track for a solid release. We don’t know when the full game will be released, but hopefully, this demo will be a nice warm-up for the renovations to come.
