New Content Coming to Granblue Fantasy: Relink

After seeing success on mobile platforms and the fighting game genre, Granblue Fantasy has expanded into the action RPG space with Granblue Fantasy: Relink released earlier this year. Now, Cygames has released new details regarding the latest entry in the series. If you aren’t familiar with the game it’s described as follows, “A grand adventure in the skies awaits. Form a party of four from a diverse roster of skyfarers and slash[,] shoot[,] or hex your way to victory against treacherous foes in this action RPG. Take on quests solo or with the help of others in up to 4-player co-op play.”

This free content update will contain a variety of balance adjustments along with some exciting new characters. Seofon and Tweyen will be added to the game and can be unlocked through two new in-game quests called “Lock Horns” and “Gulp… So These are the Rumored Monsters.” Seofon is a close-range sword wielder, while Tweyen is a ranged bow user. Additionally, the powerful archangel, Sandalphon will join the cast of playable characters with the next update coming in May.

Next, players can expect new sigils to upgrade characters in the latest patch. These will become available in the Knicknack Shack shop after finishing the newest quest lines. Furthermore, up to 30 sigil transmutations can now be simultaneously completed at once.

There will be a good wealth of changes in terms of character balance. Rackam, Io, Rosetta, Siegfried, and most of the playable cast have all received a number of damage buffs to specific attacks and skills. Some problematic attacks have also been adjusted to ensure environmental features will no longer hinder them. You can read through the full list of changes on the official website.
