I love a good couch co-op party game. Games like KeyWe, Overcooked, and Moving Out are just good family fun. A new challenger has arrived, this time taking on factory work and shipping.

Ready, Steady, Ship! is now available on PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch consoles. Due to a minor certification error, the Xbox version has been delayed until May 3rd. Publisher Untold Tales and developer Jollybits Games have released a new trailer alongside the launch of the game as well. Here is what the press release has to say about the launch of Ready, Steady, Ship!

Ready, Steady, Ship! is a chaotic couch co-op delight where players team up and use various tools and equipment to rebuild the most convoluted and questionably designed factory conveyor belts. While Ready, Steady, Ship! is best played in 2 players co-op with a friend, an entire single-player campaign with stages tweaked or totally redesigned to be completed on your own is also included.

  • Multiple Tools, Various Solutions – As you progress you’ll be given all manner of tools, equipment, and conveyor parts to overcome obstacles. Forklifts, cranes, springboard conveyor belts, packing foam dispensers, the list goes on and on

  • The Factory Keeps Getting Weirder – From acid pools, space vacuums to rooftop gaps to clear, or just outright chaos on the floor. As you progress, the factory will throw tougher challenges at you with more complex conveyor belt builds.
  • 2 Player Couch Co-op Delight – Grab a buddy and get this line moving double time! NOTE: This game supports local couch co-op on consoles only while Steam has the adder use of Remote Play Together via PC. There is no dedicated online multiplayer mode. The game also has a dedicated single-player campaign.
  • Easy and Responsive Controls – Ready, Steady, Ship! is built around responsive yet simple controls, so almost anyone can quickly and easily join the fun.”

Games like Ready, Steady, Ship! are exactly the kind of things to pick up as we get to the summer season. This is the perfect kind of thing to play with friends, younger siblings/kids, and other family. It is a little strange that the game is only two-player, but I’ve seen weirder setups. Regardless, I can see it being a ton of fun.
