Monday, Gigantic: Rampage sees the return of the indie MOBA, and Mega Man is heading to Exoprimal. Tuesday, Sheba: A New Dawn is out now. Wednesday, Ermac is like Santa, coming to Mortal Kombat 1, and SEGA has dubbed it the Year of Shadow. There aren’t enough anti-depressants to save me from that. Thursday, Korra comes to Fortnite, for those that could force their way through Avatar because I know I couldn’t. Before we get to Epic, the first two weeks of tripe has fallen out of Prime Gaming for April too.
Moving on to the next free game from the Epic Games Store, it is another bloody repeat that many of us already have, presumably, making this week about as cromulent as projectile diarrhea on a Monday morning. Released in 2020, we have the first-person stab ’em up, Ghostrunner, which is highly loved for its melee-esque Doom gameplay in a deep industrial cyberpunk setting. Most of us might already have it, but that doesn’t mean we all played it for hours. Run around, stab some stuff, and run away, it is like a teenager’s weekend in London.
All this week, you can pick up Ghostrunner on the Epic Games Store until the morning of Thursday, April 18th. Moving on to next week, it is a double bill of ’90s-inspired RPG, The Big Con, and seemingly Among Us-like, Town of Salem 2. Despite having a proper thematic twist on the Among Us idea, I still think I’ll struggle to say much interesting about Town of Salem 2. Meanwhile, I’m trying to figure out where I’ve seen The Big Con before, or at least that main character with teal hair and backward hat.
