Since it was announced, we’ve covered several demos and previews for Pepper Grinder. Devolver Digital tends to focus on publishing unique and interesting games, and Pepper Grinder is no different. Now, after a while of waiting, Pepper Grinder is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch next month.

Specifically, Pepper Grinder is coming to PC and Switch on March 28th. You can pre-order the game now, as well as play a demo either on Nintendo Switch via the eShop or on PC via Steam. Here is what the press release has to say about Pepper Grinder:

Developed by solo swashbuckler Ahr Ech and published by Devolver Digital, Pepper Grinder’s blisteringly fast-paced piratical platforming stars a treasure hunter named Pepper who uses her drill, Grinder, to swim through the earth like a dolphin swims [sic] through water.

After a freak storm tears Pepper’s ship apart, she washes up on the dangerous shores of a mysterious island and finds a group of narwhal-like creatures—a band of bilge-sucking buccaneers known as the Narlings—making off with her precious treasure.

But a chance encounter with the aforementioned Grinder gives her the power to fight these thieves head-on. Pepper embarks on a quest to retrieve her stolen booty, drilling her way across the island to recover her filthy lucre and show the Narlings—and their mysterious leader—why you should never mess with someone wielding an oversized power tool.

Pepper Grinder is an electrifying blend of tight platforming, chaotic action, brain-twisting environmental puzzles, and unique drill-based traversal, and you can take Grinder for a spin on March 28 when the game whirrs onto PC and Nintendo Switch.”

I’m curious to see how Pepper Grinder’s full release plays. It looks like a ton of fun, so only time will tell if it’s as much of a blast as it looks. Regardless, March 28th will come sooner than it seems, so we won’t have long to wait.
