NACON Connect 2024 Happening Next Week

The French publishing studio, Nacon, announced that NACON Connect will be next week, on February 29th. The event will showcase news regarding upcoming games and accessories as well as some new reveals. If you aren’t familiar with Nacon, it is the studio behind Greedfall, a relatively interesting third-person action RPG that was released back in 2019. The game took place in a creative colonial setting and featured some great enemy designs. Though it didn’t revolutionize the genre, Greedfall still presented a decent experience and performed well enough to garner a sequel that will hopefully build on the groundwork established by the original.

According to the Steam page, Greedfall II is a prequel and promises to be a deeper RPG experience. The premise of the story is as follows, “You play as a native of Teer Fradee, uprooted by force from your island and taken to the continent of Gacane, where the colonists are from. In this old world ravaged by war and scarred by the Malichor plague[,] and the political scheming of the different factions, you need to regain your freedom and control of your own destiny. Using diplomacy, cunning or combat, as well as help from allies you make, it’s up to you to end one man’s ambitions of conquest, which could spell the end for the continent and your island.”

This event will feature the first extended look at Greedfall II: The Dying World, along with some other titles like the Rogue-like action game Ravenswatch. This is the next title from developer Passtech Games, the creator of one of my favorite Rogue-likes, Curse of the Dead Gods. Additionally, Nacon confirmed you can expect updates on the upcoming strategy title Crown Wars: The Black Prince, and racing simulator, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown. In terms of new announcements, Nacon teased a brand new game set in the world of Terminator but viewers can expect even more surprises at the full event.
