Out of the Souls-likes from last year, I initially didn’t play many of them for one reason or another. In terms of Lies of P, it was the fact the PR people sent a PS5 code when asked for a PC one, which resulted in Alexx doing the review and hating it. For some reason, I never really got the hype for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. It looks nice but just doesn’t have the spark for me. Since our break in December, I’ve put a good few hours into Lies of P, mostly walking it as if it were my dance-mat-no-hit run, and enjoying it.

Well, yesterday the 1.5.0.0 patch for Lies of P was released, and it brought with it the Wo Long collab DLC. Don’t get too excited, this isn’t the already-announced DLC that is supposed to be adding more to the story. It is mostly some cosmetic stuff for fans of both games. Available to everyone, across PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and of course, PC (and oddly Mac), you’ll find the new items in your equipment and bag menus. You will find the Azure Dragon Crescent Glaive, Armor of the Honorable, and Bandana of the Honorable in your bag.

The glaive is the only useful thing, with its long handle, and high damage output but higher weight, especially for those of us using the rapier. The other two items are fully cosmetic, especially for fans of KOEI TECMO’s title as well. However, the patch itself doesn’t end there. Aside from improvements to the Japanese translation, you can “now reset P-Organ upon new game without paying Gold Coin Fruit.” This is joined by several bug fixes, such as the “Nameless Puppet” disappearing, issues spawning certain things in the wrong places, some UI stuff, and typos.

For all the details on the patch, you can check out the whole Lies of P update post over on Steam, here.
