Monday, run the town like it is made by DMA Design in Crime: 1997 this year. Tuesday, the Paper Ghost Stories sequel has a demo available now, Dragon Quest Builders (1) got a PC release date but no corrections to that awful logo, and Winter Survival is to enter early access this month. Wednesday, the second part of Invincible‘s second season got its air dates. Thursday, Spec Ops: The Line was removed for storefronts, and Tencent’s CEO is disappointed by its gaming ventures.
Moving on to the Epic Games Store, you can pick up Big Loop Studios and Snapbreak Games’ Doors: Paradox this week. A simple puzzle title that focuses on the obvious thing you are already thinking of… windows. I’m filling space because there is so little to say about Doors: Paradox, and I’m not saying that because it is bad but because you need to enjoy a casual puzzle game to care. Not everyone cares, so it is hard to sell you Doors: Paradox in the first place. Though this comes as a sequel focused on boxes released, as is more interesting.
All this week, you can pick up Doors: Paradox on the Epic Games Store until the 8th of February. Onto next week, and we’ve got a double bill to make up for the tripe that slopped out of Prime Gaming this month. Released in 2016, we’ve got side-scrolling dungeon-crawling action RPG beat ’em up Rogue-like (everything, everywhere, all at once) in Lost Castle, which has a sequel already announced and active playtesting going on right now. Though if that’s not your thing, I hope the psychological issues of Japanese teenagers are, as the second game available is Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! I’m sure I’ll be able to talk about that without spoilers.
