Last month, House Flipper 2 was released, providing updated visuals and quality-of-life improvements to the series. However, it seems as though House Flipper (1) isn’t finished yet. Frozen District announced continued content for their breakthrough title, including a new DLC pack.

In May, House Flipper turns six, and Frozen District has announced that this year will showcase more content for its original title rather than focusing entirely on the sequel. Here is what their recent announcement had to say, via a Steam Blog post.

“For the majority of 2023, we’ve been focused purely on making sure House Flipper 2 arrives on time. We managed to do that and we’re extremely glad and excited, but we understand that with the gaming experience changes that House Flipper 2 brought, some of you still prefer the first part, and that’s something we’re taking into consideration regarding planning our future development efforts.

First of all, we’re aware the game is not completely bug-free, and we’ll be doing our best to target those pesky bugs in future free updates… let’s talk about that!”

They then transitioned into discussing the future of the game, stating: “Yup, free updates, you heard that right! We recently managed to build a little plan regarding adding more content to House Flipper!

At the moment we don’t want to throw any dates or timeframes at you, as we’re still evaluating the amount of work ahead of us, but for now, there are at least 2 free major content updates planned for House Flipper.

As I mentioned, these updates will also bring a bunch of fixes, but some separate small [hot fixes] are also something we’ll be going for. We will keep you updated on those, so make sure to keep an eye out for some sneak peeks!

Now, that might possibly surprise some of you, but the release of House Flipper 2 also doesn’t mean the end of DLCs for House Flipper! I can’t really tell you too much today, but I can show you a bit!”

Some of the pictures in this article are the same images from the Steam Blog post. They seem to hint a bit at a Restaurant DLC, don’t they? As a fan of House Flipper, I’m excited to see what comes next for both the original game and House Flipper 2. The devs have already announced quality-of-life updates for the sequel, so 2024 looks to be a bright future for Frozen District’s home improvement franchise.
