Monday, Game Pass joined the Meta Quest platform, SaGa: Emerald Beyond got a release date, The Crew (1) was delisted, and this isn’t Friday, what’s going on? The Epic Games Store has done a bit of a weird thing this year that has screwed up my, “Sod you all, I’m off to eat, drink, and be messy!” This year they are offering a total of seventeen games throughout the festive period, with last week’s kicking us off and yesterday’s offering (which is kind of still available), we’re two down and fifteen to go.
Today until 8 AM Pacific time, 4 PM GMT, and whatever it is elsewhere, you can pick up DNF Duel. Released in 2022, fans of the fighter certainly aren’t pleased by its recent lack of updates and lackluster player count. This time last week, the player count hovered from 17 to the high 30s. Then on Monday, there was an explosion of players nearing 200. If you enjoy fighting games and the animes that seem to be popular, DNF Duel is generally favored. It only really seems to be the lack of player count that is the sticking point.
This is an odd one to talk about, as we’re not officially on our break just yet, I’m going to return tomorrow with the usual Epic piece, and from there we’ll be on a hiatus until January 8th, 2024. If you are here early, fantastic! Go hop onto Epic quickly and claim DNF Duel. If you’ve just missed it, something else should be available. While there was a leak for DNF Duel‘s Epic surprise, there is no word on what the game will be for the 21st through to the 22nd. We’ll talk about that one tomorrow, I guess.
