Monday and Tuesday, nothing happened as it is early November and the news is about as dry as Amu Darya. I didn’t even get many press releases, which isn’t out of the realm of normality on a Monday. It is not as if the GTA 6 trailer would be announced to be on the horizon. Wednesday, Darkest Dungeon II is starting its DLC cycle, and Crunchyroll subscribers can now play “premium games” with their subscription. Finally, on Thursday, a small serial killer is set to join Dead By Daylight.

Moving on to the Epic Games Store: We’ve only got one game this week, something we’ve previously covered during a recent Prime Gaming article. Golden Light is part of this “boomer-shooter” revival that Mike has been covering a lot recently, though with the modern art styling that “looks” retro in that it is headache-inducing. Heavy on what looks like film grain and a whole lot of aggressively gross things, like magenta and smashed-together abominations. I don’t hate Russian developer (based in Hong Kong) Mr. Pink’s survival-horror FPS Rogue-like, I’m just tired of covering it so quickly after I’ve already done so.

All this week, you can pick up Golden Light on the Epic Games Store (though you might already have it) until the 16th of November. Moving on to next week, we’ve got another double bill in the form of a colorful RPG aimed squarely at the 90s RPG fans, EARTHLOCK. Those subscribed to Prime will already have it via Amazon Games. The second offering is for those of us who enjoyed Frostpunk and other City Building survival strategy titles, it is 2021’s Surviving the Aftermath.
