Monday, Kingdom Hearts continues to fart out games with an unbelievably impenetrable story, and select regions can now sign up for a beta for the new mobile game for 2024. Tuesday, soon you’ll be able to play as The Croods in a life-sim called Roots of Pacha, while Prime Gaming has some interesting offerings this month. Wednesday, A Rogue-like story is coming to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, releasing next week. Thursday, My Time at Sandrock finally got its 1.0 release, while Sonic Dream Team heads to Apple Arcade for now, before it presumably heads to Switch in a year.

Moving on to the Epic Games Store and what is available for this week, we’ll start with (surprisingly) the only game this week, Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. After it was supposed to be a double bill, we’ll talk about the short Zelda-like adventure about a turnip committing tax evasion. The title kind of says it all, and with more positive reviews than almost any triple-A release these last two years, it is a no-brainer to play for its 2-3 hour playtime. What I didn’t know until yesterday was that there is a sequel on the horizon called Turnip Boy Robs a Bank.

All this week you can pick up Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion on the Epic Games Store until the morning of Thursday, the 9th. I forgot to say it last week, but those in the UK (and select other places) will be able to hop on Epic an hour earlier than usual to claim the game next week. Sadly if you follow Prime Gaming, let me ruin that by saying it is Golden Light, again. A Doom clone with that modern idea that everything has to look like rubbing sandpaper on your eyes to look and feel “retro.”
