I covered the announcement of the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl sequel a few months back. Amongst the new features and characters that will be coming to the game, I was most interested in the promised campaign mode. As someone who mostly plays games solo, my purchases are usually dictated by the amount of single-player content available at launch. This week ahead of the November 7th release date, publisher GameMill Entertainment provided some new details regarding the campaign.

Vlad Plasmius, the major antagonist from Danny Phantom is wreaking havoc across the Nickelodeon multiverse. To stop him you’ll have to fight across a variety of levels collecting power-ups and defeating bosses as your favorite characters. The campaign is stated to be a Rogue-like and features some light platforming elements. The trailer also shows off some exciting boss encounters such as The Flying Dutchman and The Shredder. Additionally, players can also expect a classic arcade mode that will feature a variety of mini-games such as “Pop the Slime Balloons,” “Whack a Bot,” and a boss rush mode.

Along with the single-player content, GameMill announced the first wave of DLC characters that will be joining the launch roster of 25 playable characters. This lineup includes some iconic characters like Mr. Krabs, fan favorites Iroh and Zuko from Avatar the Last Airbender, and some more niche additions such as Rocksteady from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. These characters will be available in early 2024 retailing at $6.99 each or for around $20 with the season pass.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 will release digitally for PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4/5, and Nintendo Switch. The physical version of the game will be available starting December 1st.  Players who purchase either the base game or deluxe editions of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, between November 7th and the 14th, or pre-order will receive a launch bonus of the Elastic Waistband costume for Patrick Star.

I've been playing games since I was a little kid. I have a soft spot for Nintendo titles and RPG's but play all kinds of titles across a variety of platforms. Outside of games I love to play music and practice martial arts. You can find me on Facebook and Instagram as well.
