Those days of being behind are at an end though. Bonus Version 1.6 might have dropped back in June for the initial platforms, but now a new massive update has gone live for the Xbox and PlayStation ports. It brings them in line with Version 1.6, effectively dropping three major title updates worth of content in one go. It’s a monumental addition for players on those platforms.
Among the highlighted content, players can now take on Risen Elder dragons from Version 1.4, special investigations from Version 1.5, and the Primordial Malzeno from Version 1.6. Although the latter was a bonus update, it certainly seems fitting to end with a new version for the flagship monster of the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion. There are certainly plenty of other fun additions as well from each update, including new event quests and mechanics.
We’ve known for a while that Version 1.6 is basically the end for Monster Hunter Rise. Many players are eagerly waiting for the next entry, especially with next year being the 20th anniversary of the franchise. As such, this is a welcome update to see everyone finally gaining access to this wealth of content.
