Panic Games Showcase Announced

Panic Games is the Indie studio behind popular titles such as Firewatch and Untitled Goose Game. For the first time, the studio will be holding a digital showcase on August 28th. The presentation is expected to last around 20 minutes and will premiere at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET/5 PM GMT.

Regarding the content that will be covered, fans can expect new game reveals, development information, and partnership collaborations. Panic Studios co-founder, Cabel Sasser had this to say regarding the upcoming presentation:

“A lot of people out there know us as makers of Mac software like Transmit and Nova. Some people know us as the creators of the Playdate handheld video game system. And honestly, not very many people know us as the publisher of Firewatch and Untitled Goose Game. We thought it’d be fun to put on a little show and let the world know about the wonderful games we’ve been working on publishing, from amazing developers all around the world. Please tune in, as we’re pretty confident you’ll find a neat game or two that speaks to you.”

Most of the games shown off here will also be available on the show floor of Gamescom and Pax West. Notably, however, the Playdate console will be absent from this showcase. This is a rather odd decision given the fact that the console will be a part of the studio’s booth at Pax West. It’s also one of the only other handhelds produced by an independent studio currently on the market and received positive praise from initial buyers with over 50,000 sales.

While the initial launch season of 24 unique games concluded last July, no doubt fans are clamoring for what the second season may bring.
