The DreamWorks Animation film library hosts some of the most iconic characters in animated cinema. From the Shrek franchise to the world of Trolls, there are quite a few digital faces you’d find most children and many adults could recognize in an instant. 20 of them are now ready to gear up and race to see who is the finest in all the DWA world in the new title, DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing.

Announced today via publisher GameMill Entertainment and in collaboration with Universal Games and Digital Platforms, DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing will star two dozen DreamWorks Animation characters in a fast-paced kart racer for consoles and PC. Characters like Shrek, Po, Tigress, Boss Baby, Puss in Boots, Hiccup, and more are set to face-off in some very imaginative courses. Races will take place in worlds like The Kingdom of Far Far Away from Shrek, Bergen Town from Trolls, Spirit Realm from Kung Fu Panda, Baby Corp from The Boss Baby, and the New York City Zoo from Madagascar.

Twenty of the most iconic DreamWorks Animation characters take the wheel in the fast-paced world of kart racing in DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing! Shift, drift and jump at high speeds across a variety of fantastical tracks inspired by DreamWorks Animation’s many fan-favorite films. Blaze past the competition in fun and hilarious action for players of all ages with solo as well as online and local split-screen multiplayer modes.

Customizable karts as well as lots of shortcuts and items will likely mimic the experience of contemporaries like Crash Team Racing and Sonic All-Stars Racing. The big name in the genre, Mario Kart, will be hard to overcome in terms of success, but I love these kart racers. For most players interested in this experience, it’s less about the feel of the game and more about exploring the world of some of the most famous IP in animation.

Four-player local split-screen and eight-player online multiplayer will keep friends and family competing too. The game is set to release at $39.99 USD. A Digital Deluxe Edition will include the full base game, two exclusive characters and two exclusive karts, all for $49.99 USD. Master Oogway from Kung Fu Panda and Wolf from DreamWorks’ Puss In Boots: The Last Wish will be the two exclusive characters in the Digital Deluxe Edition.
