Monday, I covered Prime Gaming again and it is Prime Day Tuesday, so you’ve got extra stuff there. Also, Annapurna Interactive thinks that faux E3 is still going on. Tuesday, the lovely (wrong word) Dying Light 2 is crossing over with the not-so-lovely The Walking Dead ahead of that series set in Paris with that Scud bloke. Wednesday, PowerWash Simulator will have a lot of blood for gods spread about the place later this year, and one of the two genuinely awful games released this year has already stopped post-release development. Meanwhile Thursday, Game Pass for July features that game that makes us acknowledge sex workers.

Moving on to the Epic Games Store, this week you can pick up Clover Bite’s 2021 release Grime, which was recently available via Prime Gaming. A 2D Souls-like that is grimier than deciding between Musk and Zuckerberg’s versions of Twitter. It is devoid of large amounts of color, and the brutal and arguably fun Souls-like isn’t trying to please you with aesthetics but focuses more around gameplay akin to the Metroidvania genre. By no means a bad example of the indie sphere doing Souls-likes, but neither is it an all-out Hollow Knight counterpart.

All this week you can pick up Grime on the Epic Games Store until Thursday, the 12th of July. Moving on to next week we have a game about trains. Developed by a Russian trio by the names of Alexey Davydov, Sergey Dvoynikov, and Tomofey Shargordskiy, we have Train Valley 2, a minimalistic puzzle trainset building game from 2019. I quite like the look of it.
