Genshin Impact 3.8 Highlights

It appears that Genshin Impact might be reaching its last stop before the next large-scale update. With Version 3.7 launching last month, it’s already time to get a preview for Version 3.8, “Secret Summer Paradise”. We’ll be going over what we learned from the recent livestream and the short snippet showing off Fontaine, the game’s next big region.

The flagship event for this update will follow a host of characters as they travel to Veluriyam Mirage, a new limited-time area in Sumeru that actually takes place inside a bottle. In addition to this new story, both Klee and Kaeya will be receiving new outfits that are earnable by collecting unique Joyeux Vouchers in the area. Kaeya fans will be overjoyed to learn that he’ll be having his own hangout event added for this update as well. Lastly, completing the various events and minigames introduced will also allow players to recruit Layla to their team for free.

When it comes to the event wishes, only returning characters are featured. That being said, fans have great reason to be excited as Eula and her banner will be a part of phase 1 along with Klee. This will mark only the third time she’s been available, the last of which was back in November 2021. Phase two will also run banners for Sangonomiya Kokomi and Wanderer.

The livestream ended with a minute-long preview for the next region, Fontaine. Narrated by the popular background character Alice, it follows a Fontaine native called a Melusine as they patrol through a city and its sewers. It ends with the Traveler being shown swimming underwater, a mechanic that’s expected to be added with Fontaine and Version 4.0.

It seems likely that this will be the final version update for the 3.0 series. Leaks for Fontaine and 4.0 have been steadily increasing, not to mention that both of the last versions ended with an x.8 update.
