Monday, I spoke about Eurovision and maybe something about Doctor Who specials getting their titles. Tuesday, mech warfare continues as Hawken Reborn returned to PC recently. Wednesday, the second wave of Game Pass was unveiled for MayTo the Rescue made its way to the kingdom (or platform) for which Zelda has some tears, and Genshin Impact updated to round out a fairly dry news week ahead of Feux3’s kickoff next week with Sony instead of Geoff. Thursday, Little to the Left celebrates 500,000 sales with the release of a new DLC.

Onto the Epic Games Store‘s first mystery of the year. It is one of the mysteries over the Christmas break that went a little bit wrong. When Death Stranding first went to the free game section of the Epic Games Store on December 25th last year, early claimants (including myself) got the accidental Director’s Cut version. The normal Hideo Kojima second release additions, something a bit strange and fun to add to the mind-bafflingly strange plot by everyone’s least or most favorite Japanese game director. Strange is the way to put it, as umbilical walking-simulator drug trips are how I’d describe my experience with the game.

For those willing to cross the line between Epic and Steam, you can also pick up Metro: Last Light Complete Edition. Offered all this week as part of the 10th anniversary, the game series’ official Twitter (though you wouldn’t know it thanks to a deluded child) notes that you’ll be able to put yourself in 2034 Russia after massive nuclear fallout in what some might call prophetic at this point. With Faux3 around the corner and 4A noting in 2020 that the next game was in development, we might see a glimpse of the next installment soon, which is set to see the addition of multiplayer.

All this week, you can pick up Death Stranding on the Epic Games Store until May 25th. Moving on to next week, we have another mystery for no one to care about until about 3 PM UTC, 4 PM BST, 8 AM PDT, and 11 AM EDT. Though there is speculation on what is next for Epic, a lot of it is based on previous franchises that are currently on sale. Usually where one installment is missing the discount. Chances of it being an early Assassin’s CreedJedi: Fallen Order, or a recent release is highly unlikely. I’ll stick my neck out and say it will be unlikely to be another recent repeat too.
