Although HoYoverse launched a new title with Honkai Star Rail, there are still plenty of updates planned for Genshin Impact. Version 3.6 continued a long line of updates focused on celebrations and festivals. With Version 3.7, the flagship event will be centered around a high-level tournament for the Genius Invokation TCG minigame. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming version that’s releasing next week, titled “Duel! The Summoners’ Summit!”.

The big TCG tournament is called the King of Invokations Grand Prix and it’s being held in locations all around Teyvat. It’s popular enough that players will see various characters participate, such as Yae Miko, Hu Tao, and of course Cyno. The story of this flagship event will also introduce a brand-new NPC named Charlotte, who many in the community are assuming will be playable in the future due to how complex her design is. Four minigames will also be made available in various locations. Only one of them is TCG-based, but the rest compromise a variety of combat challenges and puzzle-solving.

Some changes are also coming to the Genius Invokation TCG as well with new cards and new modes. Anyone who’s wanted a PvE mode should be excited for The Forge Realm’s Temper, while another PvP mode called Arena of Champions is being added. Needless to say, fans of the card game will be ecstatic with this update.

It wouldn’t feel right if there weren’t new characters being added as well. This time around there is only one new playable character. However, some might recognize them from an announcement a few weeks back. Kirara is a 4-star Dendro character who uses swords, although in battle she seems to mostly use her cat claws. All of her attacks are cat-themed and she can transform into a cat in a box that can run into enemies and climb up walls fast, so there’s plenty to like.
