Monday, EA showed off Doctor Strange – The Game, and Halo: Master Chief Collection was apparently “cursed,” probably by Phoebe as Prue shouted and Piper took painkillers for the migraine this caused. Tuesday, it was announced that Tony the Tiger will be opening a casino in May with Blooming Business: Casino. Wednesday, the second bundle of Game Pass offers was unveiled, including Coffee Talk 2, and As One We Survive was announced. Then finally on Thursday, Nintendo’s Indie World Direct for April made certain bits of me go to the moon.

Moving on to this week’s Epic Games Store double-bill, we’ll once again start with what you may already have if you’ve followed this series or the Prime/Amazon Games thing for long enough, Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna). Developed by Anchorage-based Upper One Games, you follow a small indigenous child called Nuna and their fox pal along a platforming adventure through some indigenous culture. This is similar in idea to Tchia, though with a larger focus on conveying the culture directly than exploring. The darker tone is what I think may put some off.

Slipping into the big blue wet thing, Beyond Blue is the second offering from Never Alone‘s publisher E-Line Media. As an underwater exploration game, you’ll catalog the many animals found in the ocean. Unlike the narrative focus of the likes of Subnautica, I don’t think you’ll be accosted by the giant stabby/bitey monsters of the dark sections found in the oceans that we’re all surrounded by. Between both offers this week it is difficult to say I’m terribly excited, especially after we saw Dying Light‘s Enhanced Edition just the other week.

All this week, you can pick up Beyond Blue and Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) on the Epic Games Store until the morning of the 27th of April. For those of us that kept up on Prime and Epic, it is a bit of a disappointing repeat next week with Breathedge as your headliner for everyone. The second offering next week is another Ripstone release after Chess Ultra a couple of weeks ago, though this time on a game I can play without feeling stupid, Poker Club. If Poker Club is anything like Chess Ultra, at least you’ll have some very nice-looking cards, even if it is just a pair of twos.
