As the Spring season is finally here, so is a lot of great anime to watch. My Hero Academia just wrapped up its sixth season, whereas Attack on Titan is finally nearing its end. In the meantime, the romantic comedy genre is still going strong with a lot to watch starting this April. Some anime are just getting started, others are getting long-awaited second seasons – it’s an exciting time for fans like myself to have a certain day of the week to look forward to. So, what’s hitting our screens this season?

I’m terribly excited for Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible to continue. This charming anime had to take a break as it was delayed mid-season, but it’s getting rebroadcast this April, so now’s the optimal time to get into this story of a shut-in colliding with an eager, teasing classmate. Another anime continuing its story is Fly Me To The Moon. Its season two started airing on April 8th. It’s been 3 years since its first season, so it’s high time that this gem gets back on track every Saturday.

My Love Story with Yamada-Kun at Lv999 is a gamer-centric play on shy gamer meets dedicated, sweet hopeless romantic. It’s already two episodes deep with a cliffhanger on episode one that had me laughing my head off at the gym. Look out for this one every Sunday.

Skip and Loafer is a more wholesome, coming-of-age romcom with a book-smart girl crossing paths with a friendly, attractive male every Tuesday. Finally, Insomniacs After School is set for this month, exploring the hijinks of what two late-nighters get up to when they’re out of school. There’s no shortage of shows to watch and ships to sail as April kicks off this season’s romantic comedy anime, and I hope you follow along as intently as I plan to!
