The third season of Gundam Evolution is set to end next week. While it introduced two new units with the Hyperion Gundam and Gundam Heavyarms Custom over the course of its two-month period, the upcoming season will be bringing in a lot of content as soon as it starts. Let’s go over what we know so far about season 4, which is going by the name Ballista.

At the forefront of this new season is a brand-new unit, the Gundam Dynames. Hailing from the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 series, it’s sure to make sniper fans happy as an alternative choice over the GM Sniper II. While it does share the same Recovery Gun active skill, this unit plays much differently.

The primary weapon is a GN Sniper Rifle that can deploy a forward-facing shield while aiming with the scope. Twin GN Beam Pistols are available as a secondary weapon option to provide a shorter-range option. A GN Missile acts as its first active skill, which pulls in any enemy units in range. In the trailer, this is shown to be able to effectively pin enemies to the wall as well. Topping it off is the TRANS-AM G Manuever that enters the eponymous mode and allows sniper rifle shots to be charged for more damage.

Besides the new unit, the fourth season will also be adding a new game mode and map. The game mode is called Headquarters and begins with both teams vying to capture an area. Whoever captures the area will then take on the Attacker role and will be tasked with destroying an enemy base core. Capturing the first area provides a team with one point, destroying a base core provides two points (one is given at 50%), and successfully defending a base core provides one point. Whoever is the first to five points wins.

Lastly, the new map is called Buried City and takes place in a desert-inspired area. Headquarters will be playable on this map, although there’s been no news about whether it will also be playable on other maps. All of this will be available when the new season launches next Thursday, April 13th.
