March started strong for Xbox Game Pass subscribers with six games being added including Guilty Gear Strive and Civilization VI. It’s now time for the second wave with about a week and a half left. Only two games make up this wave, but both are being released on day one with Xbox Game Pass. Let’s go over what’s coming over the remainder of the month.

The first game to be added will be the day one release of MLB The Show 23, launching on March 28th for cloud and console. Multiple changes can be found throughout, ranging from slight tweaks to noticeable overhauls. Players can look forward to balancing updates for offensive and defensive plays, as well as multiple gameplay styles and throwing interfaces.

This won’t look exactly like the same game as last year either. The UI has been switched around in some instances, changing where key information or camera views are displayed. Over 5,000 gameplay animations have also been added, including dives and stances. Other highlights include a Storylines mode and updates to the Diamond Dynasty mode. As reported last month, the cover athlete has also been revealed to be Jazz Chinsolm Jr.

Coming in two days later on March 30th is the day one release of Infinite Guitars for cloud, console, and PC. Mixing rhythm mechanics with RPG gameplay, the story follows four wastelanders who band together to take on reawakened mechs. With anime-inspired visuals and an original soundtrack to match the metal enemies, this seems like a unique RPG experience. For those who wanted more rhythmic beats after Hi-Fi Rush, this could quite possibly scratch the itch.

Finally, we have the games that are leaving. Players have until March 31st to check out the following: A Memoir Blue, Chinatown Detective Agency, Clustertruck, Double Dragon Neon, Kraken Academy!!, MLB The Show 22, and Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid.

Samuel (he/him) has been obsessed with video games since he was a kid watching bumbling zombies shuffle down a hallway in Resident Evil 20+ years ago (it's debatable if he should have seen a mature-rated game at that age but he's personally okay with it). His hobby of writing and talking people's ears off about video games has always felt like a perfect match. Feel free to let him talk your ear off on Twitter!: https://twitter.com/xxsammorenoxx
