Atomic Heart is a game that has captured the attention of my friends and I ever since it was announced in 2017. After almost six years, it is hard to believe that the game is just around the corner. On Steam, there are three different editions that you can purchase. Each of them ranges between various different price points. As such, it seems like a good time to break down what you will get in each edition and what is the most bang for your buck! Let’s dive in!
The first edition of the game is the standard edition. This is the bread-and-butter edition since it gives you the game, which is the whole reason why you are even giving the developers any money. The standard edition will run you $59.99 (not including tax) which is not too bad considering that there are a lot of developers and studios that are starting to increase the price of their games to $69.99. If you decide to pre-order the game, then this edition will also include two weapons skins. One skin is for your axe and another is for your electric gun.
The second edition of the game is the gold edition. This one has everything that the standard edition offers, but also throws in an additional skin (this one is for your glove) and the Atomic Pass. Details on what exactly will be included in the Atomic Pass appear to be rather vague, but it is a season pass that will allow you to have other future DLC.
The graphic for it shows a 04, which makes me believe that there will be 4 DLCs that will come to the game, but I could be wrong. This edition will cost you $89.99 so I would recommend this for those who are 110% sold on the game and the creatives at Mundfish.
The third and final edition of Atomic Heart for Steam is the premium edition. This one has everything that is included in the previous two editions, plus an additional two skins and a digital artbook. One of the skins is for an AK and another is for a weapon called a Zvezdochka. The digital artbook is a file copy of the 262-page artbook that comes in the limited edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. This edition will cost you $99.99, which is quite a price tag.
So there you go! These are the three editions available to those who will be playing Atomic Heart on Steam. There is an additional edition for the game that I mentioned earlier, which in my opinion is closer to being worth the price tag they put on it, but that edition isn’t available for Steam.
