Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life Gets Release Date

It’s no surprise that we’re big fans of the Story of Seasons franchise around here. In fact, we’ve covered a lot of farming sims since Phenixx Gaming opened. With that said, we’re excited about the reimagining of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, by XSEED Games and Marvelous USA. The best part is, we now have a release date and an adorable new trailer.

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life will release on June 27^th, 2023 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. As previously stated, it is a reimagining of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, which was released on the Nintendo Gamecube back in 2004. Here is what the press release has to say about the new trailer and release date.

“XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today announced STORY OF SEASONS: A Wonderful Life will release on June 27, 2023, for Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch™ system. STORY OF SEASONS: A Wonderful Life is a reimagining of the farm/life sim fan favorite on modern consoles.

The title is available for physical pre-purchase for consoles on the XSEED Games Store and participating retailers for [an] MSRP of $49.99 for the standard edition, and a premium bundle including a 3.5” x 4” goat pocket plushie and large cloth poster within a custom outer box, both of which will share an original illustration by series illustrator Igusa Matsuyama, for [an] MSRP of $59.99. Today’s announcement comes with a brand-new trailer brought to life entirely through papercraft artwork, showing one of the many potential paths to a wonderful life in Forgotten Valley. STORY OF SEASONS: A Wonderful Life revisits the tranquil community of Forgotten Valley where the protagonist fulfills their father’s dream of running a farm. As the seasons go by, players will find their lifelong partner, raise a child together, and watch them grow up. Will their child carry on the family’s farm legacy or find their calling somewhere else? Only time will tell…

I’m very excited to see the changes to A Wonderful Life. I loved watching my mom play the original when I was younger and way too hyper to deal with the in-game clock. Now I’ll get to see how a modern reimagining tweaks the heartwarming experience from all those years ago. June can’t come soon enough.
