Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Gets Story Trailer

I’m not sure why, but I have been drawn to a lot of games and content with Chinese history, mythology, or setting recently. Last year brought announcements for Where Winds Meet, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, both of which I’m curious about. It seems that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will have an intriguing story for players if the new trailer from Koei Tecmo is anything to go by.

Team NINJA’s upcoming demon-infested epic will release on March 3^rd for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. It will also be available on Game Pass at launch. Here is what the press release has to say about the new story trailer:

“Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty features a storyline set in the Later Han Dynasty of the Three Kingdoms, with the combat and cut scenes supervised by the game’s Cinematics Director, Kenji Tanigaki, the famed action director of the popular “Rurouni Kenshin” movie series. These powerful action scenes are at the center of KOEI TECMO’s latest trailer, showcasing the game’s dramatic storyline.

The original story follows a nameless militia soldier who confronts a conspiracy surrounding a potent elixir with mysterious powers. Along the way, the soldier not only confronts countless demons and monsters, but famous warlords and military masterminds from history, including Liu Bei, Cao Cao, and Sun Jian.”

In addition to the information about the storyline, Koei Tecmo and Team NINJA revealed that people who purchase the game before March 16^th will get special “Baihu Armor.” Additionally, those who pre-order the game will get a special “Zhuque Armor” pre-order bonus.

While Souls-likes tend to grind me to paste, I’m excited to see what Team NINJA and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty have in store. Between the setting, the monster designs, and the historical elements, I’m definitely interested in learning more. March 3^rd can’t come soon enough.
