Season 2 of Rumbleverse launched a couple of months ago, bringing with it a mountain of content from a new location to new weapons and special moves. More content has been added over time to keep players interested in coming back to Grapital City. So far there has been a substantial Holiday update that introduced a limited-time Snowball Fight game mode, and a much smaller one that came out for New Year’s.

Now, it seems like time to follow in the steps of the first season with a mid-season update. Particular highlights include a long-requested game mode, a new special move, and new items that were first revealed with the season 2 trailer.

Headlining this update is the limited-time Quads game mode. While Solo and Duos modes have been standard since launch and a limited-time Trios mode was added soon after the launch of season 2, this will be the first time that the option to play in a group of four will be added. Balancing out this mode is the limitation of only four protein stat pods per person and 580 base health.

Whether you’re planning on joining a bigger group or keeping to what you already know, there’s still a lot more to play with. Roar is a new special move being added that knocks enemies back and provides a different buff to yourself and your teammates depending on the rarity you find. A new perk is also being added with Guts, which increases your damage by 20% when your health is in a critical state. Lastly is a heaping of new items, such as the sweeping broom weapon type, a heavy locked crate that can be unlocked, and gold useable items.

The servers will be offline for two hours before the update, starting at 8 AM CST. If you’d like to see a more thorough explanation of the new moves as well as the numerous balance changes going live with this latest update before diving in yourself, an hour-long stream covering it all can be seen below.

His hobby of writing and talking people's ears off about video games has always felt like a perfect match. Feel free to let him talk your ear off on Twitter!: https://twitter.com/xxsammorenoxx
