Keeping with tradition, every year I like to wrap up the year with a little love letter to you, our readers. 2022 was a rough year for a lot of us. Several of us on staff struggled with health issues, mental and physical, and the world itself has had a lot going on. However, our mission statement has always been to bring a reprieve from the chaos of the 24/7 news cycle, and I’d like to think that we’ve succeeded this year.

As we’ve done the past few years, we are taking the week of Christmas and the week of New Year’s off, to spend time with our families and just refresh and recharge our batteries. Now, this is a little different than usual, since Christmas and New Year’s Day are both on a Sunday this year. In order to give the staff a chance to not only relax, but also get back in the swing of things in a timely manner, we will be running our holiday break schedule from today, December 19th to January 2nd, and will be back to normal operation on the 3rd.

Don’t worry though, we’re not leaving y’all hanging. We have a reduced schedule of content for you guys each day in those two weeks, which includes our Game of the Year picks, some music content, and some other fun stuff that you might not be expecting. In the spirit of not making promises I can’t keep, I’m not going to give too many teasers about what we’ll have next year, but I hope we can continue bringing you quality reviews, news, and other types of important content.

One thing I want to continue into 2023 is content revolving around accessibility. The past few years have shown a renewed focus on accessibility in the industry, and I hope that we’ll be able to continue to push for even better and more inclusive options in gaming. As always though, we’ll continue to provide news and reviews for gaming, TV, streaming, and as many forms of entertainment as we can.

As always, we thank you for sticking with us this year, and we hope you have a happy and safe holiday season. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, or something else entirely, Happy Holidays from all of us at Phenixx Gaming.
