Over the last two and a half months, since Fall Guys transitioned to a free-to-play model and restarted the seasons, players have been racking up crowns and leveling up through the first season’s battle pass. After teasing it via Twitter and the Satellite Repair Mission event last week, we’ve learned that the second season will be called Satellite Scramble and have a space theme. What’s most exciting is that it starts this week on Thursday, September 15th.

The space theme will naturally change the look of some familiar rounds and introduce new ones. “Tiptoe Finale” is one of the new rounds that sees up to four squads tip-toeing towards the crown. “Starchart” challenges players to walk across invisible paths that can be revealed by pressing buttons. “Pixel Painters” requires players to hop onto the right tiles to match displayed patterns. In addition to these and other new rounds, new obstacles will be added as well with ion thrusters, hover platforms, and trolleybots.

To make it easier for players to check out what’s coming in season 2, a launch event called Satellite Explorers will compile all of the new rounds. This event will also have some unique rewards such as a Satellite Explorer Nameplate and a Satellite Backpack.

A new season also means a new battle pass and all the rewards that come with it. While plenty of new costumes are embracing the space theme, collaborative costumes are a definite highlight. This time around players can look forward to unlocking the Xenomorph from the Alien series, Spock from Star Trek, and the always popular Vocaloid Hatsune Miku.

Something interesting to note is that the Fall Guys blog post announcement for season 2 specifies that there will be 100+ levels of the season pass. Although the current season 1 had doubled the number of levels/tiers from 50 to 100, it seems more will be added in the second season. It hasn’t been specified what the exact number is or how long the season will be, but we should know when the game is updated on Thursday.

Samuel (he/him) has been obsessed with video games since he was a kid watching bumbling zombies shuffle down a hallway in Resident Evil 20+ years ago (it's debatable if he should have seen a mature-rated game at that age but he's personally okay with it). His hobby of writing and talking people's ears off about video games has always felt like a perfect match. Feel free to let him talk your ear off on Twitter!: https://twitter.com/xxsammorenoxx
