Monday, September’s Prime was revealed, and Pokémon Unite continues to be dull. Tuesday, LEGO Bricktales‘ platforms were unveiled, and a Splatoon-themed OLED Switch was revealed. Wednesday, Alexx joined the friends of Bill W and made an admission, and Dino Crisis is like the Jurassic Park series as it won’t die. Thursday, the biggest princess that wears green could be heading to the switch, and a hot new management game got a release date.

Moving on to this week’s free games on the Epic Games Store and we’ll start with a confession. Submerged: Hidden Depths is a game that released on PC and consoles earlier this year, and while I’ve got a key, it has been downloaded, and in theory, I’ve had plenty of time to form that opinion for a review. Don’t take this as any form of that. I’m a man busier than your dad on a small stage dancing around a pole, so I’ve been incapable of fully getting time in the unhurried adventure. Colorful and mostly about movement and exploration, I think you can see why I put in to review it. Only if I had the time.

We’ll also quickly cover the other free thing on Epic this week because if I talk about it for too long, I’ll chew my own arm off. All this week, you can log in to Knockout City for the season 7 Armazillo pack: An outfit, a mask, gloves, a pose, an icon, and crew logo. Though it was released for $19.99 under EA’s publishing guide, Velan Studios have since broken free and made the game itself free-to-play. I am sure that will entice a few to the game before they move back to whatever is actually popular.

I know I am teasing more than your dad around the pole (the tiger print – chef’s kiss) but I’d also like to make a quick mention of what is currently free on Steam. I know, hiss, boo, and all that, but I don’t care for your pantomime. As part of the 20th anniversary of the Mafia series, 2K and Hanger 13 have made the original Mafia free over on Steam until the 5th of September. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but well worth picking up while you can.

OK, finally I’ll talk about the conclusion of Square Enix’s rewriting of my favorite character, it is the one I just haven’t played. Previously available with Epic, I believe as part of an end-of-year blast, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the 2018 conclusion to the 2013 reboot series following Rise of the Tomb Raider. As I said about Submerged, it is difficult to find the time for everything especially when you’ve got over 1,000 other games to talk about. Despite being quicker to praise Rise of the considerably chested than its 2013 counterpart, I can’t say I’ve been too excited to stand in the Shadow of massive mammary glands.

All this week, you can pick up Submerged: Hidden Depths, the Armazillo pack for Knockout City, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider for free on the Epic Games Store until the morning of the 8th of September. Swiftly looking to next week, I’ll once again be complaining about another free-to-play game in Realm Royale, yes another bloody battle royale. For those of us with some common sense, we’ll be calmly playing the relaxing-looking strategy game Hundred Days – Winemaking Simulator. Yes, I am entirely serious, I am now beyond excited about this.
