Teppen Being Updated with Dino Crisis Expansion

The free-to-play digital collectible card game Teppen, which features characters from multiple Capcom franchises, is set to receive a new card pack expansion on September 1st. It’s called Jurassic Rampage and it’s based on Resident Evil and Dino Crisis. This will be the fifth expansion to have a primary basis on the former, while this will be the latter’s first time being added into the game. After the new Capcom dinosaur game Exoprimal was revealed to be a new IP, and unrelated to Dino Crisis, many fans lost hope that the IP was remembered. Although this is a mobile card game, it shows the franchise hasn’t been entirely forgotten.

This will continue the story set by the three-episode War of the Goddess arc. After Dr. Kirk from the Dino Crisis series gets his hands on the goddess bird cage from the previous trilogy, an accident in his experiments occurs and opens up a time rift that pulls dangerous dinosaurs in. Jurassic Rampage will act as the first episode in a brand-new trilogy arc.

Something else being added with this new expansion is a new mechanic, card Invasion. Instead of playing a card straight to the board, those with an Invasion ability can be sent to the EX Pocket first. They’ll then automatically play onto the board after 13 seconds with their Invasion ability activated. A different amount of MP will be required to activate the ability rather than playing them from your hand to the board, with the new Regina card requiring an extra two MP for example.

Every user can expect some nice log-in bonuses over the next few weeks. All players will receive 10 Jurassic Rampage pack tickets to get them started with the new pack. Two new background music tracks from the Dino Crisis series will be added to the Soul Shop and two new player icons will be available for those that play through limited-time missions as well.

There is plenty more to look forward to in free content aside from the new expansion. The celebration of the game’s third anniversary is still ongoing, with various log-in bonuses offering free zenny, souls, and card packs. Bonus Anniversary event pack tickets will also be offered and available to earn through the Bonus Anniversary EXGP, with every 10 tickets guaranteeing a legendary card.
