Last year, I covered the announcement of Mini Maker: Make a Thing. I love games that aren’t afraid to be shamelessly weird, while also letting people be creative. Mini Maker has this vibe in spades, and now there is exciting news! Casa Rara, the indie studio behind Mini Maker, just announced a release date!

Casa Rara’s Mini Maker: Make a Thing will release on June 28th. Specifically, this will be the PC release. There is currently no announcement for any sort of console or Switch port, but if the game winds up being successful, I could see the developers taking that leap. Here is what the press release has to say about the game.

A hero thing, a monster thing, a robo thing… in Mini Maker, you can make anything! Use an arsenal of plastic limbs, wonky tools, rainbow stickers, and googly eyes to assemble creations, please demanding clients, and laugh in the face of good taste, in a wonderfully wonky workshop sim where nothing is perfect but everything is ‘good enough!

Creative director Ruben Farrus also commented, stating: “It feels crazy to be saying this after so much time and work, but Mini Maker is ready to ship! I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished with this little game and I can’t wait to see what people make of it.” I can’t even imagine the excitement and nerves that come at this point in the development.

With all that said, you can purchase Mini Maker: Make a Thing on PC when it releases on June 28th. If you’d like to know a little more about Casa Rara Studio, they’re made up of folks who have worked on games like Journey to the Savage Planet, Spiritfarer, and Papa & Yo. As such, there’s a lot of attention to detail and potential woven into Mini Maker: Make a Thing.
