With how much Street Fighter has been collaborating with other games, it’s not too surprising to see them collaborate again with the same teams. I’m not talking about Sakura and Blanka in Fortnite either. After previously featuring Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma in the F2P platform fighter Brawlhalla, the two have worked together again to bring more world warriors into the mix in the game’s latest update. This time around they’re adding M. Bison, Ken, Dhalsim, Sakura, and Luke.

The official Brawlhalla website says the following about this crossover content: “These new Epic Crossovers feature custom Signature effects with VO lines, two new Weapon Skins each, custom lock-in animations, and dedicated Roster spots. The event also brings a new Street Brawl Map, Bustling Side Street, which is also featured in the Brawl of the Week.”

If you’re not caught up on current Street Fighter characters, you may be scratching your head with Luke. While the others are classic characters from the fighting game series, Luke is the newest character who was introduced as the final character for the final DLC season of Street Fighter V.

Although that may not seem too important considering he’s a brand-new character, Capcom does have big plans for him. He’s meant to be a main fighter in the upcoming and recently announced Street Fighter 6. Because of that, it’s not too surprising to see Capcom promoting him so heavily.

As these crossover characters are essentially skins, they’re used as mirrors for other characters. Dhalsim mirrors Rayman, Sakura mirrors Lin Fei, Ken mirrors Petra, M. Bison mirrors Thor, and Luke mirrors Cross. Just as exciting is the Bustling Side Street map which is based on the same-named stage from Street Fighter V. The new Street Brawl game mode that takes place here is a 1v1 8-minute match where each fighter has 3 stocks. The walls will slowly slide away and open up so players can knock each other off.

There’s no need to worry if you happen to miss the event as the mirror characters will stay in the in-game store after it ends. The new game mode and map will also be there for players to enjoy. Items from the previous crossover event, which you can see the launch trailer for below, will also be featured.

Samuel (he/him) has been obsessed with video games since he was a kid watching bumbling zombies shuffle down a hallway in Resident Evil 20+ years ago (it's debatable if he should have seen a mature-rated game at that age but he's personally okay with it). His hobby of writing and talking people's ears off about video games has always felt like a perfect match. Feel free to let him talk your ear off on Twitter!: https://twitter.com/xxsammorenoxx
