At the beginning of this month, we found out that the first wave of games being added to the Xbox Game Pass library in May included seven popular and/or anticipated titles. Subscribers can expect a whole lot more for the second wave as twelve titles are being added over the next two weeks. Half of them are day one releases.
Starting us off are five titles that are already available. The first two are some older but beloved games with Her Story on PC and Skate through the cloud. If you’ve played Telling Lies, which was added to Xbox Game Pass back in February, you’re sure to enjoy Her Story which is a predecessor of sorts from the same developer. For those who want to relax and do some fun skateboarding tricks, the popular first entry in the Skate franchise 2007 will be playable through EA Play.
Joining them on cloud, console, and PC is Jurassic World Evolution 2. The management sim lets you create your own theme park filled with dangerous dinosaurs. It builds upon the game that came before it with more in-depth management tools, more biomes, and more complex AI.
Rounding out what’s available now are a couple of day one releases. Coming to cloud, console, and PC is Umurangi Generation Special Edition. Players can explore a retro-future city as they make money from taking photos and completing photo bounties however they want as impending crises loom. This special edition includes all of the game’s DLCs.
Little Witch in the Woods is a day one release/game preview for console and PC. It follows an apprentice witch named Ellie who is helping nearby residents and exploring the mystical forest. Crafting potions and befriending cats are just some of the daily activities that can be done in this cute pixel RPG.
Next are a set of games coming out on May 19th. Coming first to PC is the popular Vampire Survivors. Players can find items, upgrade weapons, and do their best to survive against hundreds of monsters in this rogue-lite/bullet hell stick shooter.
On the same day will be Farming Simulator 22 on cloud, console, and PC. Whether you’ve played a previous entry or are just a little curious, the latest version has built greatly upon what came before it. New crops, a seasonal cycle, additional types of machines, and a character creator are just some of the new additions.
Two more games are dropping on May 24th and both are day one releases. Card-game strategy and turn-based tactics come together with cute hand-drawn visuals in Floppy Knights on cloud, console, and PC. If you’re interested in learning more about it, Keiran played a beta of it which you can read up on here. If cute fights in mythical lands aren’t quite your style, Hardspace: Shipbreaker will let you explore derelict spaceships and collect materials when it releases on PC.
A couple of days later on May 26th will see the highly-anticipated day one release of Sniper Elite 5 on console and PC. Utilizing the larger level format from the previous game, players will travel through France as they stop a secret Nazi project. Something new to look forward to is the Invasion mode, which allows another player to join your game as an enemy sniper.
The last two games are coming on May 27th. For all the Pac-Man enthusiasts out there there will be a lot of time to kill when Pac-Man Museum+ comes to the service on day one. 14 different games from the franchise’s history along with online leaderboards and a customizable virtual arcade will be available through cloud, console, and PC. For the PC players who didn’t have the chance to check out Cricket 22 when it was released to cloud and console last month, there are fewer excuses to not check it out now as it’s finally added to the PC Game Pass library.
This just leaves the titles that will be leaving the service on May 31st. You have about two weeks to check out any of the following if you’ve been eyeing them: EA Sports NHL 20, Farming Simulator 19, Knockout City (which is going free-to-play), Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, Spellforce 3: Soul Harvest, Superhot Mind Control Delete, and Yes Your Grace.
