Monday, Prime Gaming was disappointing for the majority of its offerings this month, and Rogue Legacy 2 was finally released. Tuesday, Weird West gets a new patch today. Wednesday, another Rogue-like/Souls-like released, and the first wave of Game Pass additions for May were revealed. Thursday, yet another Souls-like was announced for August, because there just aren’t enough of them. Even as we head towards the former E3 season, there just isn’t that much news.
Moving on to what is available this week on the Epic Games Store, Terraforming Mars. I’m not a big fan of the digitized board game thing, other than when that game is Gloomhaven. That’s when you can ball up your 2-hour set-up time and shove up yourself! I have better things to do with my life than set up something that takes just as much time to set up. Anyway, Terraforming Mars is about, (this might surprise you) terraforming Mars. Strategic play and turned-based action make up the majority of what you’ll do, as it is a digitized board game.
All this week, you can pick up Terraforming Mars on the Epic Games Store until the 12th of May. Moving on to next week, I’ll talk about another Souls-like because you can’t get enough of them, along with Bethesda’s foray into sci-fi horror. Yes, next week it is Jotun: Vallhalla Edition and Prey (2017), to which the latter is going to be free a week late for the anniversary. Still, that doesn’t mean I am not going to abuse them both vehemently for what they do oh so wrong.
