We first heard about Capcom Fighting Collection a couple of months ago when its announcement trailer was revealed at the end of the Capcom Pro Tour. The announcement trailer for Street Fighter 6 that immediately followed it certainly took more of the spotlight, but there is plenty of reason to be excited about the former.

After all, it features 10 fighting games from some of its most beloved and cult classic series. Half of the collection is devoted to the entire Darkstalker lineup of entries, while the remaining half consists of Cyberbots, Red Earth, Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition, Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix, and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. It’s a whole lot of fighting games that Capcom is super proud of, and for further incentive, they’ve released a new trailer revealing the pre-order bonuses.

Those who pre-order the game or purchase it before October 1st will be able to access five exclusive illustrations and 18 remixed music tracks in the game’s museum section. Considering that there are already set to be over 500 artwork pieces and over 400 music tracks from these classic games, some new ones should make a fine addition.

The third bonus for early buyers is for a completely different game that also focuses on classic Capcom titles. Early buyers will receive a digital version of the classic Capcom arcade game Three Wonders that will be playable in the just-announced Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium.

For a collection filled with classic Capcom fighting games, these bonuses are exactly what you’d expect. They’re not crucial necessities, as the main pull for players will be to experience these games in a modern port with awesome features like proper training modes, quick saves, and rollback netcode-supported online play. The pre-order bonuses instead add to the celebration of the included games and help to introduce them to others.

On the game’s website, it is mentioned that the “bonuses may be made available for separate purchase at a later date.” With the game releasing in a couple of months on June 24th and the bonuses being available as long as you bought the game before October 1st, that’s a little over three months to buy the game and be able to redeem the bonuses. That seems like plenty of time, but you still won’t want to put off buying the game too long if you’re interested in the exclusive artwork and tracks.

Samuel (he/him) has been obsessed with video games since he was a kid watching bumbling zombies shuffle down a hallway in Resident Evil 20+ years ago (it's debatable if he should have seen a mature-rated game at that age but he's personally okay with it). His hobby of writing and talking people's ears off about video games has always felt like a perfect match. Feel free to let him talk your ear off on Twitter!: https://twitter.com/xxsammorenoxx
