There were some pretty great games released on Xbox Game Pass last month, with the second wave specifically having one of my favorite games released so far this year in Weird West. The start of a new month means it’s that time again to go over what’s coming to the service over the next two weeks.

Kicking off the month are two sports titles coming to cloud and console. The first of those is Cricket 22, which came out in December of last year. It includes new control options and new licenses to satisfy existing fans and pull in new ones.

Accompanying it is the headlining day one release of MLB The Show 22. With over 150 playable legends and the benefits of cross-play, cross-progression, and cross-saves, players can effortlessly play on whichever system they want and with the same community. This cross-interactivity also extends to the Nintendo Switch version that was announced at the February 2022 Nintendo Direct.

The next four games are coming on April 7th. Three of them are cloud additions to EA Play for titles that are already on the service. These games are the fantasy RPG Dragon Age 2, the original multiplayer third-person shooter from the Plants vs. Zombies series, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, and the flight sim Star Wars: Squadrons.

Joining them is Chinatown Detective Agency on cloud, console, and PC. The day one release sees cyberpunk and noir themes meld together in a point-and-click adventure that will take players on cases around the world.

April 12th will also see a few games added. One of them is actually from the previous wave of games. The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos will be added to PC Game Pass after being added to cloud and console last month. If you’re interested in checking out the absurd humor-filled turn-based RPG, you can learn more about it with Keiran’s review.

Similarly being released on PC Game Pass specifically is Panzer Corps 2, a turn-based hex strategy game revolving around the second World War. It evokes the nostalgia of older strategy games, all the while with refined visuals and gameplay.

Arguably another one of the headliners coming to the service is Life Is Strange: True Colors for cloud, console, and PC. This is developer Deck Nine’s second entry in the popular series and follows a new set of characters and the protagonist Alex Chen, who can visualize, absorb, and manipulate others’ emotions.

Lost in Random is the final release of this wave and will be available through EA Play on the cloud, console, and PC. Along with an adorable gothic aesthetic and gameplay revolving around third-person adventure and deck building, it’s a wonderful game to end the first wave on April 14th. You can read Alexx’s review of the Switch version of the game here.

Some games are moving on as new ones come in. If you’re interested in MLB The Show 21, Rain On Your Parade, The Long Dark, or Pathway, you have until April 15th before they leave. F1 2019 will also leave a few days later on April 18th.

Samuel (he/him) has been obsessed with video games since he was a kid watching bumbling zombies shuffle down a hallway in Resident Evil 20+ years ago (it's debatable if he should have seen a mature-rated game at that age but he's personally okay with it). His hobby of writing and talking people's ears off about video games has always felt like a perfect match. Feel free to let him talk your ear off on Twitter!: https://twitter.com/xxsammorenoxx
