The Road to PAX East 2022

For those of you who do not know, PAX East 2022 is less than a month away. Going from April 20th through 24th, the epicenter of gaming news and culture on the east coast will be back in full swing. I would also like to mention that I will be heading to PAX East, representing Phenixx Gaming and giving my insights on the event. Being a first-timer, I have attempted to absorb as much information as possible about this event. While this entire event is still a bit of a mystery considering that the full schedule of events only just being released a bit ago, we have a lot to be excited about.

In an email sent by the PAX PR Team, they have announced that the 12th PAX East will be host to “hundreds of exhibitors.” These will include studios such as Larian Studios, Gearbox Software, Devolver Digital, Focus Home Interactive, Koch Media, XSEED, tinyBuild, Intel, and AMD. There will also be a variety of content creators which include the hosts of Nintendo Voice Chat and G4TV, Skyrim Grandma, Catieosaraus, and many more. There also appears to be a few eSports players there since there will be a Fall Guys tournament and a Splitgate tournament. However, contestants competing in those and details on how it will be run have yet to be revealed as far as I can tell.

There are a boatload of events happening, so I will break it down by the ones that I am most excited about per day. On Thursday, they are having Double NintenDare!, A Look at Star Wars Gaming with the Holonet Marauders, Extra Credits presents: Design Club Live, The PAX Pokemon League, Go Play Inside and Make Some Real Friends, and Changes in Co-op Gaming during a Global Pandemic. While I am not sure if I will be able to get to all of these events, it is already mind-blowing to see so much happening on the first day. Of all of these, I will definitely be checking out Extra Credits since they are one of my favorite YouTube Content Creators.

If my Thursday didn’t already feel like it could be jam-packed, Friday looks even crazier. I can definitely tell you that I will be running around like a mad man in order to get to events such as A 7 is better than a 10, Jackbox at PAX, Screaming in Padded Rooms, PAX Community Discord Game Night, and YOU Could Be a Video Game Consultant. I could continue to go on and on about the various events that will be at PAX East, but we would be here for way too long.
